ISO 14001 certification
This certification guarantees the internal procedures adopted by Eurojersey to implement the operations associated with environmental issues the Company is obliged to perform, for instance authorizations, notifications to bodies, emissions control. It also ensures the proper operation of the procedures necessary to implement ameliorative measures in the entire production cycle of Sensitive® fabrics.
EPD environmental certification
The Environmental Product Declaration is based on a method that assesses the environmental impact of a square metre of product. It analyzes all the processing phases according to a series of specific parameters such as energy consumption, CO2 emissions, acidification, euthrophication of bodies of water and others. At the end, it quantifies the exact environmental impact of every product in a synthetic and plain way.
OEKO-TEX certification
This document certifies that fabrics do not contain or release substances that are harmful to human health. It is a standard for consumer protection in the textile and clothing sectors. Through painstaking laboratory tests, semi-finished and finished products are checked in relation to their possible content or release of noxious substances like pesticides, heavy metals, formaldehyde, aromatic amines and allergenic dyes. Requirements and threshold limit values are continuously updated according to the latest medical and scientific findings.
LCA certification
Life Cycle Assessment is a certification concerning the whole lifecycle of the fabric, thus including suppliers and customers in the same process towards environmentally-friendly quality. It is based on an objective method for assessment and quantification of energy loads and of the environmental impact associated with each product, process or activity performed, from the purchase of raw materials, to processing and packaging, and up to its final disposal.
Compliance with EC regulation REACH
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) is a registration, evaluation and authorisation system that governs the use and importation of harmful chemical substances. Eurojersey is actively committed to meeting this regulation, and subjects its suppliers to verifications in relation to their compliance with safety standards for the raw materials delivered.
